A child with sensory integration dysfunction may show some of the following signs and symptoms:

Rocks in chair/floor

Avoids walking bare foot on grass/sand

very high tolerance to pain

Poor eye contact

Gags easily

Low tone in muscles

Accident prone (Clumsy)

Repeatedly touches self/others

Holds hands over ears
Easily distracted
Balance Problems
Social and/or emotional problems
Difficulty making transitions
Delays in speech, language or motor skills
Difficulty with academic achievement
